JOB SUMMARY
The Motorway Patrol Officer (MPO) has a dual role in ensuring safety on the motorway by means of constant monitoring and is also responsible for engaging in the general maintenance of the Motorway
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Patrol Duties
- To detect and prevent breaches of the Toll Road Act.
- To act as the[First responder to emergencies (such as natural disasters, breakdowns, motor vehicle accidents, etc.) on the highway.
- Remove debris from the accident site after clearance is given from the respected authority.
Maintenance Duties
- Conducts maintenance activities as directed along the motorway
- Monitors traffic management along the highway, and makes the necessary adjustments as directed.
- Removal of debris and road kills observed on the motorway and in the drains (such
- Secondary level education.
- Holder of a valid driver’s license for over 5 years with laden weight at least 3000 kgs.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills;
- Basic report writing skills
TYPICAL WORKING TIME
The Motor way Patrol Officer works on a shift-basis as follows: Morning (6am-2pm), Afternoon (2pm-10pm) and Graveyard (10pm-6am). However, the incumbent should anticipate situations which would require them to be on call or work overtime.
Applicants must live in the environs of Linstead or Spanish Town this is non-negotiable.
