JOB OBJECTIVE

The Network Infrastructure Manager is tasked with guiding the strategic vision, meeting financial goals and technical benchmarks, and supervising the day-to-day functions of their designated division. In this capacity, the role both leads and actively contributes to crafting team goals, objectives, policies, and priorities. It also establishes uniform procedures and techniques to enhance the efficiency and efficacy of services, projects, and initiatives, while executing strategies to attract, oversee, and cultivate skilled and seasoned staff.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Project Deliverables

  1. Effectively strategize, oversee, and enhance the allocation and efficient utilization of resources, encompassing staff, finances, equipment, and technological tools, with the aim of accomplishing project and overall business goals
  2. Ensure that services are delivered efficiently and that uptime is maximized
  3. Evaluate current technological trends to identify strategic opportunities for the organization
  4. Ensure that technical objectives are S.M.A.R.T and contribute to the overall success of the company
  5. Collaborate with key stakeholders to establish clear goals and objectives for the infrastructure division
  6. Develop technical proposals and client presentations and whenever necessary validate proposals with vendor engineering team
  7. Monitor and approve requests for customer‐focused pre‐sales and post-sales resources

Infrastructure Management

  1. Supervise the maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement of infrastructure systems
  2. Streamline processes and incorporate automation wherever possible
  3. Use metrics and analytics to gauge the effectiveness of infrastructure processes, making improvements as necessary

Team Leadership/Synergy

  1. Work jointly with the sales organization to align technical account strategies to customer business requirements and goals
  2. Manages long-term engagements with multiple project tracks and teams
  3. Foster a culture of continuous learning through mentorship and encourage team members to stay updated with the latest technological trends

Resource Management

  1. Prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively to ensure optimal productivity
  2. Proactively anticipate problems or opportunities and mobilize colleagues to develop creative, lasting solutions
  3. Monitor budgets and expenses, ensuring the infrastructure department operates within allocated resources

Client Relations

  1. Serves as an escalation point for clients to ensure high-quality deliverables and solutions
  2. Works with clients to understand their needs and identify opportunities for value creation
  3. Establish collaborative relationships built on trust and commitment and develop relationships at multiple levels within customer accounts and business partners

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • MSc./BSc. in Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline from an accredited tertiary institution
  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience at the managerial level in a comparable service support role within the Information Technology field.
  • Possessing a Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) would be considered a valuable advantage or asset.
  • Possess Professional-level IT certifications, such as Cisco CCNP, VMware VCP or their equivalents.
  • Extensive background in the design, execution, and supervision of IP networks within expansive, high-capacity settings.
  • Solid grasp of network security fundamentals and recommended practices.

  • Extensive expertise and experience in the use of cross-functional management methods and techniques.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities with a proven track record of delivering results and a pronounced customer-centric approach.
  • Profound understanding of IT applications, support tools, techniques, processes, technological implementations, software, and hardware systems.
  • Exceptional proficiency in diagnosing issues, resolving problems, and making decisions.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
