· Heart Trust/NTA Technical Certification Level 3 or equivalent
3 years experience in the Maintenance Technician field, preferably in the Hotel Industry

Ensure that the quality of service is to the agreed standards.
Completion of designated projects in accordance with all stated requirements
Make recommendations for improvement in routine and periodic maintenance

JOB DESCRIPTION – MAINTENANCE INSPECTOR
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Check in with reception regarding outstanding maintenance requests, collect house count/arrival list, cell phone
Complete items of work on daily maintenance task list within the prescribed timeframe, complete the daily report sheets, maintenance log and handover to next shift maintenance inspector then submit to file at Reception
Know how to operate the generator in the event of a power outage. Check on Diesel fuel, top up as required and record in maintenance log
Know how the water storage systems and associated equipment operate. Also familiarize yourself with the various water lock offs and water mains on both sides of the property.
Know how to operate and maintain all Villa/room equipment (Jacuzzi, A/C, TV, Fridge, Stove, Water Heater, etc.)
Comply with operating and maintenance procedures for all power tools including cleaning after use
Inspect available rooms, villas and all ancillary buildings for maintenance issues, note deficiencies and report
Check property perimeter fencing, external lighting, public facilities, etc. and take requisite corrective action
Exercise care and safety in carrying out activities, use materials efficiently avoiding wastage, return unused items to storage and cleanup work area on completion are standard operating procedures for all assignments
Know and obey the rules and regulations that govern the resort
Actively and effectively promote the hotels Environmental and Sustainability program to employees and guests
Use the EMS Program as the guideline when carrying out all maintenance activities undertaken at the resort
Carrying out any other duties required to ensure the efficient and effective operations of the Hotel
Respond immediately to all maintenance problems including reports made to the Front Office & resolve promptly.
Familiarise yourself with the operation of all Hotel equipment, inspect regularly and carry out routine in house maintenance, cleaning, etc; record on maintenance log and submit
Dispense rock salt to water softeners, pool and Jacuzzi chemicals as prescribed, record data and file
Supervise LPG deliveries , record data, file and submit
SCHEDULE
Hours of work – Six(6) days per week: 8:00am-3:40pm/11:00am-6:40pm/2:20pm– 10::00pm , One(1) hr Lunch
Duties may on occasion require going over normal shift hours but there are no overtime payments attached unless specifically authorised by management. Shifts are subject to change without notice.
