Maintenance Planner

 

The Maintenance Planner plans and schedules preventative, predictive and corrective work activity for plant and facility related equipment to ensure safety, reliability, efficiency and optimum cost management in support of the attainment of all Company objectives.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Develops in conjunction with Maintenance and Production Departments preventative maintenance schedules for plant, machinery and equipment to ensure these continue to operate at optimum levels.
  • Uses a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage entire work order and preventative maintenance process including work order generation, tracking, reporting and completion.
  • Maintains the integrity and quality of data inputted in the CMMS to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of work plans.
  • Determines job scope and content, arranges by priority, follows-through on existing work orders; reviews all submitted work orders for accuracy and requests any needed changes.
  • Develops work plans that details logical sequencing of activities, appropriate staffing needs and best methods and procedures to accomplish the jobs, taking into consideration, duration, location and travel distance.
  • Liaises with Procurement to ensure availability of parts for continuous uptime of plants, equipment and successful turnarounds and daily work plans
  • Ensures all equipment is operated and materials utilized in the manufacture of respective products are in compliance with relevant guidelines.

 

The successful candidate should have:

 

  • BSc. in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or NCTV Level 4.
  • Three to five years working in an industrial maintenance or operational capacity with increasing responsibility.
  • Proficiency in the use of a Computerized Maintenance Management System and use of Microsoft Planning Software.
  • Experience with ability to read, understand parts list; identify and understand interchangeable parts and tools required for planning and carrying out work plans
  • Well-developed communication and document maintenance skills
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle would be an asset
  • Working knowledge of Cryogenics will be an asset
