Reporting to the Shift Production Supervisor, the Machine Operator is responsible for operating one (1) or any combination of machines (Labeler, Case Bundler, Shrink Wrapper and Palletizer) efficiently and safely in keeping with the company’s objectives and standards.

With continuous improvement a key part of our culture, LASCO Manufacturing is able to drive operational efficiencies and adapt to an evolving landscape, maintaining the highest levels of manufacturing excellence and we’re looking for skilled and dynamic Machine Operators to join our team.
The ideal candidate will execute the following duties:
- Operate the machine(s) to achieve optimum line output, efficiency and quality specifications.
- Perform size changeover of machine based on product size.
- Perform daily and weekly maintenance of machine(s).
- Keep accurate records for quality checks, downtime reports, production outputs, and operating conditions.
- Operate machine(s) in compliance with specified standards such HACCP, ISO, and OHSE.
- Keep machine(s) and work area clean and orderly.
- Responsible for notifying Supervisor or other authorized personnel of the need for packaging supplies or other materials for the machine.
- Conduct training of personnel on the operation of machine as directed by Supervisor/Manager.
- Troubleshoot and correct problems with machine(s).
- Report defects, unusual sounds to Shift Supervisor and maintenance personnel.
The ideal candidate should preferably have the following skills and knowledge:
- Must be an excellent team player.
- Must be computer literate.
- Must have mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical background with experience in Industrial Maintenance.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Education and Experience:
- Be a graduate from a recognized tertiary institution such as HEART National Tools, or passes in CXC, GCE O’Levels or equivalent.
- Minimum one (1) year experience in a similar position.
- Experience in the Food Manufacturing environment.
