MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - CARIBBEAN AGRO INDUSTRIES

The successful applicant will provide the necessary support to the Maintenance Department in a safe and efficient manner to ensure the effective operation of the plant and machinery.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of three O level subjects or a technical certification from a recognized training institute.
•  At least 3 years’ experience in a related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with electrical systems and industrial equipment.
• Awareness of national electrical codes and regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and make critical decisions.
• Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Experience in working with 3 phase current, motor starters, and isolators.
• Competency in basic mechanical tasks such as changing bearings, tensioning/changing belts, and lubricating machines.
• Availability to work on shifts and overtime, including weekdays and weekends. Available for “call-in” duty as part of a rote with other Maintenance staff.
• Proficient with basic Microsoft Suite.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct all maintenance work according to ADM’s safety guidelines. Perform tasks in a safe manner, using the training, programs and resources available.
• Conduct all maintenance work according to Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety Program and Quality Management Policy.
• Monitor and maintain all plant systems and equipment as assigned.
• Be capable of performing electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance. Proven track record would be an asset.
• Assist with control and direction of contracted maintenance services, as may be required.
• Prepare written reports for maintenance jobs completed.
• Support the planning of the maintenance activities for mechanical equipment.
