The ideal candidate for this role must demonstrate both leadership and engineering skills to effectively transform the facilities’ maintenance operations in a cost effective, timely, and collaborative manner. The role requires someone who is hands-on, and flexible to travel.

Core Responsibilities

Ensure that the facility’s mechanical and electrical systems including equipment are reliable and efficient.

Lead the preventative and routine maintenance for the facility.

Plan and direct duties and responsibilities for a team of technicians.

Develop and maintain a talented competitive team.

Engage contractors, monitor/audit projects and equipment installations, ensuring that they meet cost and time targets.

Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot/diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, or automation systems.

Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure works are scheduled and communicated with minimal disruption.

Knowledge and Skills

Preferred Electrical Engineering degree or any related qualification.

Ability to diagnose and trouble shoot Electrical control systems PLC systems.

Knowledge of mechanical processing and packaging equipment.

Knowledge of commercial refrigeration and air condition systems.

Competent in Project Management.

Familiarity with computerized maintenance systems would be an asset.

Knowledge of Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental safety practices.

Experience in a food manufacturing environment.

Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a leadership role.
