The Labour Relations Officer is charged with assisting the HR Department with all Industrial Relations matters at CGA ltd.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing IR support to Managers/Supervisors.
  • Responsible for conducting disciplinary hearings, investigatory interviews, provide advice on disciplinary action
  • Responsible for drafting and reviewing employment documents; such as employment contracts, company policies/procedures, disciplinary letters, request for explanation, request for witness statement, etc. in accordance with T&T Labour Laws and employment best practices. 
  • Assist in providing support at the Ministry of Labour and Industrial Court matters.
  • Attend meeting regarding grievance and disciplinary issues in the workplace and recording of meeting minutes
  • Attend meeting with Union Branch representative (statutory and non-crisis) and recording of meeting minutes
  • To be the first point of call for all IR matters 
  • Assist in the drafting of Collective Agreement and take part in the Collective Bargaining Process
  • Perform other related duties as required by the CHRO
