The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing key accounts, maintaining a long-term relationship with accounts and maximizing sales opportunities within them.

  • Implement and execute strategies for revenue generation by analysing current and new customers against market, industry, and consumer trends.
  • Expand product portfolio by identifying new product opportunities and/ or recommending product enhancements and updates.
  • Works closely with the Regional Sales Manager to determine optimal pricing and market positioning strategies for new existing products, as well as identify new customers and to develop strategies to retain existing customers.
  • Develop forecast by customer and integrate each customer with the system that will feed into production schedules.
  • Implement and execute short – term, mid- term and long – term sales promotion and growth plans with the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Suggest appropriate product revisions by obtaining customer feedback and anticipating consumer/market needs.
  • Address customer issues and concerns in a timely fashion to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with cross – functional teams to deliver on product sales and growth strategies.
  • Prepares monthly reports outlining progress in assigned areas of development.
  • Maintain complete documentations for all pertinent records.
  • Manage and facilitate relevant account “working queues”
  • Manage client savings projects and implement process efficiencies
  • Monitor data quality and work with necessary teams to ensure data integrity
  • Achieve revenue targets and ensure long term profitability by identifying client cost savings initiatives, ensuring accurate cost allocation, establishing productivity goals, and monitoring KPIs for the account team
  • Other related tasks as assigned to achieve departmental targets.
  • Assist in monthly/annual stock taking as required.
  • Promote safety awareness and the development of a Safety Culture within the company.
  • Liaise with external customers/contractors/suppliers as and when necessary.
  • Compliance with all EIG Policies.
  • Maintain pertinent records
  • Any other duties as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

q  BSc in Management Studies with special emphasis on Sales and Marketing, supply chain/logistics emphasis a plus

q  Minimum five (5) years’ experience in Export Environment.

q  Proficient in Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint

q  Willingness to travel
