This position is accountable to the Financial Controller for the day-to-day administrative, secretarial and clerical support services for the Accounting department. The incumbent should have sound judgment, highly confidential, tactful and possess good planning and organizational skills.

The Junior Accounting Clerk-Administrative Assistant is accountable for the following end results, some of which includes:

  1. Provide administrative and general confidential secretarial support to the Financial Controller.
  2. Prepare monthly Loan Service Charge Report
  3. Handle all the general filing for the department.
  4. Prepare Daily Liquidity Reports.
  5. Balancing Vault account for the Branches.
  6. Reconciliation of bank accounts.
  7. Prepare and remit standing order payments.
  8. Write and disburse cheques for members and suppliers.
  9. Ensure that all requests made to the Ministry of National Security for members are done and prepare report to the Ministry.
  10. Any other duties that may be assigned by the Financial Controller from time to time.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

The incumbent should have attained a Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) or at least Level II of the Associate in Accounting Technician (AAT) or completed a two year diploma in Accounting from a recognized institution.
