PRODUCTION & FOOD SAFETY MANAGER

We are looking for a highly organized production manager to create production schedules, oversee production processes, production personnel, equipment function, develop/oversee food safety procedures and ensure that the required materials are properly selected and purchased. It will be their responsibility to ensure that health and safety protocols are adhered to.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage the smooth and efficient manufacturing of goods.
• Collaborate with management to understand production objectives and requirements.
• Regularly prepare budgets and cost reports for production.
• Divide responsibilities and tasks across the team to make production more efficient.
• Conduct regular inspections of machinery, workers and the units.
• Ensure inventory control is maintained of all the equipment and resources and ensure that they are stocked.
• Managing scheduling for maximum workforce efficiency
• Evaluate, adjust, and create new policies and procedures in regard to equipment use, processing & food safety for effective plant operations.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following standards, procedures and comply with legal regulations.
• Participate in performing internal audits and follow up on corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with local and overseas relevant food safety organizations.
• Monitoring and verifying production documentation (KPI’s, receival, dispatch, etc.)
• Produce reports to evaluate and communicate productivity to management
• May include sales requirements to introduce and to sell company products.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• First Degree in business administration, industrial technology, food safety, operations management or related area of study.
• At least 5 years’ experience in production management within a food manufacturing facility
• Understanding of local and international food quality standards and health & safety regulations
• Understanding of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
• Experience in reporting on key production metrics
• Proficient in MS Suite (Office, Excel, Power point, etc.) and ERP software
• Outstanding communication ability
