SALARY SCALE: $2,288,358.73 - $2,766,957.04 per annum

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the maintenance, configuration and reliable operation of computer systems, hardware, and software. Scope of responsibilities includes troubleshooting hardware and software errors by running diagnostics and documenting problems and resolutions ensuring that all software applications, workstations and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• BSc. in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent qualification
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar capacity

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Serves as a point of contact for analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving end-users’ issues concerning hardware, software, and network malfunctions.
• Maintains the PAJ’s computer systems by planning and executing the selection, installation, and configuration, testing of server hardware, software, and operating systems management.
• Configures, implements, customizes, and tests software/hardware; duplicates and documents software/hardware defects; and reviews and interprets error logs and source codes to diagnose errors.
• Foster collaborative relationships with third-party vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues, manage system upgrades, software licences and patches for all systems, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.
• Assist in the inventory management and procurement of all computers, peripherals and communication equipment used in the PAJ and its entities.
• Assist with onboarding of new users which can include shipping of equipment to new employees, troubleshooting initial set up and functionality testing, providing access to requested systems and ensuring initial set up is accurate.
• Adhere to preventative maintenance and cleaning schedule for computers, internal and external peripherical devices.
• Develop and maintain data backup and recovery strategies to prevent data loss and ensure business continuity in case of systems failure.
