To collaborate in the organization of the activities of the reception desk, taking into consideration the occupation forecasts, arrivals and departures, as well as the needs of the department, in order to achieve guest satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

§ To periodically perform cash audits and inventories of the safety deposit box locks, as well as to follow up on losses or missing locks.

§ To coordinate the daily fulfillment of rooms with the Housekeeper, according to the priorities of the operation.

§ To keep informed of the works carried out on malfunctions and broken equipment in the rooms, and to follow up on each case.

§ To respond politely and discreetly to guests bringing complaints and claims, as well as to follow up on them in the proper manner.

§ To supervise the fulfillment of all functions of the Reception Desk Area.

§ To ensure that the information concerning the hotel is given to guests following optimum presentation standards.

§ To inspect the lobby, making sure that it is clean, ordered, scented, and that ambient music adheres to standards.

§ To know and control the ROH, its inventory, and its characteristics.

§ To be familiar with Non Package sales promotions, such as Rooms Upgrades, romantic dinners, spa services, wines, etc., and to meet sales objectives.

§ To supervise that the hotel rates board is up to date and to keep the applicable rules and regulations posted in a visible location, according to the applicable norms.

§ To supervise the fulfillment of the policies and procedures regarding guest service and accounts collections.

§ To know the applicable promotions, rates, and documents for the various TTOOs.

§ To check and assign the Guest arrivals and departures Rooming List.

§ To control and supervise the end of shifts of cashiers at the reception desk.

§ To make sure that the Check in procedure for VIPs is carried out according to the established policies and standards.

§ To check and match high extras surplus amounts.

§ To supervise 15 rooms per month following the applicable Check list.

§ To periodically conciliate the PTI against the system.

§ To check and follow up on no shows and overbookings.

§ To supervise the assignment of rooms in fam trips, groups, and special requests.

§ To offer assistance in organizing the work roster and attendance lists for the personnel in the department.

§ To fulfill the requirements of the quality program, the power savings program and the environmental program, as well as the internal civil protection program.

 

JOB PROFILE:

§ Academic Education:

o B. A. or Technical degree in Tourism or a similar field.

§ Experience:

o 2 years in a similar position in a 5 star hotel.
