The Senior IT Applications Specialist is responsible for providing excellent customer service internally and externally, by ensuring that server systems, applications and databases at all locations are kept fully functional at all times by doing regular maintenance and upkeep of all systems.

JOB SUMMARY
The Senior IT Applications Specialist is responsible for providing excellent customer service internally and externally, by ensuring that server systems, applications and databases at all locations are kept fully 
functional at all times by doing regular maintenance and upkeep of all systems with specific focus including but not limited to, the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms, Enterprise Resource 
Planning (ERP) applications, Reporting systems, Data Warehouses, OSS/BSS provisioning platforms and billing systems..
 
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

❖ Design, implementation, maintenance and support of ERP, CRM, OSS/BSS platforms.
❖ Design, implementation, maintenance and support of Billing system inclusive of bills runs, bulk email billing and rectification of issues after validation.
❖ Support and maintenance relating to issues on websites/ payment portals, intranets/ sharepoint, applications, and databases.
❖ Software development, maintenance and upkeep of in-house applications.
❖ Provide support for testing, delivery and integration of new or existing products, platforms and services.
❖ Data warehousing, Data mining, Data Reporting and support of other departments with development of reports.
❖ Service desk support and Technical Second tier support for all calls relating to issues on applications, databases or internal / external web pages.
❖ Develop and maintain documentation for various applications and databases.
❖ Development of policies and procedures for use of all applications.
❖ Provide Technical Support in billing/invoicing/revenue assurance operations.
❖ Evaluate and implement new systems, applications, databases and procedures.
❖ Schedule, communicate and execute maintenance activities.
❖ Adhere to the company’s and department’s KPIs.
❖ Ensure adherence to applicable HSE legislation and policies as far as reasonably practicable.
❖ Commit to attending all required HSE training.
❖ Ensure all HSE assigned Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are fulfilled on a continuous basis.
❖ Oversee and participate in all HSE assessments for projects and consult with HSE Team where necessary (ensuring proper use of PPE, completion of Job Safety Analysis documents (JSAs), Proposal Contract and Project (PCP) Forms [where applicable]).
❖ Perform any other related duties assigned from time to time.
❖ Software/ Application/ Data/ Database Assurance and Management.
❖ Attend training courses or seminars and disseminate information to other team members.
❖ Provide internal support to other members of staff where necessary.
❖ Provide guidance and training to end users regarding hardware, software, applications and data within the organization.
❖ Participate in staff meetings and team building events.
❖ Support the Team Lead in an acting capacity as needed.
❖ Support of Residential and Business customers where necessary.
❖ Be able to manage, supervise, guide and train resources engaged for the provision of planning and designing services for the organization.
❖ Learn and become knowledgeable on all existing and new applications, databases and software required by the organization.
❖ Keep abreast of new technologies related to Applications, Software, Databases and ICT Best Practices, that can affect the organization.
❖ Organize workday efficiently to maximize productivity of both self and team by utilizing proper time management techniques.
❖ Communicate both internally and with customers/ vendors effectively and professionally in keeping with Amplia Communications Customer Service Philosophy.
❖ Provide weekly and monthly reports to Manager / Team Lead as required and requested.
❖ May be required to assist with other departmental and Company duties as needed.
 
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

❖ Bachelor’s Degree - Information Technology / Information Systems / Information Management or equivalent.
❖ At least five (5) years’ experience in I.T. inclusive business systems analysis, software development and implementation.
❖ Knowledge of operating systems, servers, databases, local area networks, wide area networks and server / network / application and data security.
❖ Knowledge of Microsoft enterprise applications such as MS Dynamics AX and CRM would be an asset.
❖ Knowledge of the SDLC – Software Development Life Cycle.
❖ Knowledge of database design and concepts as well as SQL, MYSQL and Oracle.
❖ Ability to work remotely if required.
❖ Extended hours beyond usual work hours may be required.
❖ Adhere to on call roster as agreed upon with Manager/ Team Lead.
❖ Emergency and planned maintenance activities would require working outside of regular working hours to minimise the impact on customers.
❖ Operating computers and peripheral devices.
❖ Sitting for long periods.
❖ Prolonged use of Computer/laptop, Keyboard, mouse.
❖ Working remotely may be required.
