QUANTITY SURVEYOR (JAMAICA) 

China Harbour Engineering Company Jamaica Ltd. is seeking to recruit a suitable candidate for the position of Quantity Surveyor for our various projects. 

Description

The successful candidates will be responsible for managing the cost of the projects to ensure that all projects are completed within projected budgets. 

Responsibilities & duties include but are not limited to: 

• • Review design plans and prepare quantity requirements
  • Conduct site surveys to measure and value work done on all projects
  • Perform mathematical calculations to determine and confirm measurements
  • Track changes to designs and construction works and adjust budget projections
  • Utilize software to calculate, record and track inventory and estimates
  • Provide technical support as it relates to Bill of Quantities
  • Price and forecast the cost of materials required for projects
  • Prepare reports, analyses, contracts, budgets and risk assessments
  • Identify potential financial or construction risk

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying
    
  • At least two (2) year of general construction estimating and financial experience
  • Knowledge of Construction Laws and Regulations
  • Knowledge of construction standard forms of contracts
  • Strong estimating and financial analysis skills
  • Highly developed project planning and management skills
  • Highly responsive with strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work on weekends
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving and culturally diverse environment
  • Highly developed project planning and management skills
