Job description:
Primary objectives of the job:
- Determine the business requirements relating to acquisition, retention, and customer satisfaction.
- To develop and implement activity to assist in growing & maintaining the Consumer (Mobile & Digicel+) and Business customer base and drive net new activations
- Efficient professional management and development of marketing executions
- Driving of the Digital Strategy
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop local marketing strategy by studying economic indicators, tracking changes in supply and demand, identifying customers and their current and future needs, and monitoring the competition
- Development of marketing plans and programs for each product and directing promotional support.
- Achieves financial objectives with preparing annual budgets, scheduling and managing expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Work with Digital Media team to experiment with a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels like content creation, content curation, pay per click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, performance analysis Deploying successful marketing campaigns from ideation to execution
- Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals
- Produce valuable and engaging content for our social media pages, website and blog that attracts and converts our target groups.
- Ensure Websites and social media pages are always kept up to date
- Liaise with the CEO and Head of Consumer Sales & Service to interpret bi-annual and adhoc research to gain real customer insights that are actionable and can positively impact the next wave of results
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with advertising and PR agencies in addition to key stakeholders in the business, government and society
- Coordination of the creative process with advertising agencies from brief and concept development right through to delivery to market directed by the Group CMO and Country CEO
- Ensure that all communications have been approved through the appropriate marketing governance process of being signed off by the Regional Marketing Manager and Creative Director
- Liaise closely with the Graphic Designer to ensure that artwork is supplied for output at local print agencies within the agreed timeframes
- Take full and complete ownership of all Digicel’s communications locations on island including but not limited to airport light boxes, billboards and window treatments to ensure that all communications are accurate and current
- Identify all sponsorship gaps and opportunities in the market and develop action plan for approval and inclusion of incremental activities as appropriate
- Ensure efficiency of execution in the operational activities of branding all Digicel sponsored events to maximize coverage and exposure
- Execute the local PR function to ensure that a positive image of Digicel is maintained and maximized Issue press releases to local journalists and coordinate the execution of press conferences in conjunction with the Group PR Manager
- Routinely respond to correspondence in an efficient and professional manner within 48 hours of receipt
- Update and maintain photographic, video and audio records of all marketing activities
- Any other duties within the scope of the job as periodically assigned by the Chief Executive Officer & Head of Consumer Sales & Services
Academic qualifications and experience required for job:
- Professional candidate with 3+ years’ experience
- Degree in Marketing will be considered an asset
- Experience in developing and managing marketing propositions to specific target markets
- Experience in working on cross functional teams in a dynamic marketplace
- Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills
