 A dynamic company in the manufacturing and distribution sector is seeking the ideal candidate to join its forward-thinking leadership team in the capacity of Financial Controller.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the CEO and the Finance Committee, the Financial Controller will oversee all areas of company’s finance function and the accounting department; provide high-level financial reporting and analysis; ensure compliance with statutory laws, regulations and credit agreements; forecasting and cash flow management.

 Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Accurate and timely preparation of the monthly management accounts & KPI's 
  • Develop operating procedures and workflows for the accounting department 
  • Monitor the inventory control system and ensure inventory variances are investigated and reported.
  • Monitor the company's overheads vs budget
  • Responsible for overseeing calculation, accuracy & adequateness of provisions
  • Lead annual budget & quarterly forecast cycle for finance.
  • Preparation of ad hoc financial analysis as required,
  • Responsible for ensuring the delivery of all pricing related reporting and analytics
  • Oversee the audit preparation process
  • Managing and coaching the accounting staff

 Education/Experience:

  • Chartered Accountant designation or equivalent qualifications.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience, in a similar position.

 Specific Knowledge, Skills and Core Competencies:

  • Excellent knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
  • Sound understanding of computerized accounting systems/software including strong competencies in using Microsoft Office
  • Excellent skills in financial analysis, decision making and problem solving
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Strong leadership and teambuilding skills.
