Job Title:         Industrial Research and Sales Analyst

Department:     Sales & Marketing

Job Summary:

The Industrial Research and Sales Analyst is responsible for developing and managing relationships with the Company’s Industrial customers including manufacturers and product resellers. The ideal candidate will be familiar with industry and market research techniques for the purposes of identifying key market / customer trends and tracking competitor activities. The candidate will have good proficiency in analyzing customer and market data, developing pricing strategies and identifying sales growth opportunities.

 

 Responsibilities:

  • Generate new leads and grow sales through professional communication with existing and potential clients.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team, Production Operations, Research & Development to provide products and services to our customers.
  • Conduct industry and market research using a variety of data collection and analytics methods.
  • Prepare reports on market and customer research findings including recommended strategies for sales growth.  
  • Maintain awareness via proactive customer relationship management of pertinent client information, customer insights, future plans and payment performance.
  • Expeditiously preparing responses to RFP (request for proposals)/ RFI (request for information)/ RFQ (request for quotation) and proactive follow up towards order fulfilment.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns by recommending a course of action to alleviate these concerns in a timely manner and to prevent recurrence in the future through lessons learnt.
  • Report regularly on performance.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Strong degree from a recognized university with a preference for the Chemistry or Engineering disciplines.
  • Formal training and / or experience in conducting market and industry research would be an asset.
  • Experience with MS Office (particularly Excel), good working knowledge of Quickbooks and familiarity with any leading Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System.
  • Ability to regularly generate report analytics on sales activities.
  • Strong data analysis and problem – solving skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Common sense and demonstrated ability to prioritize when making decisions.
  • Have or can develop a strong understanding of the industrial supply chain.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
