Serves as assistant to project lead in carrying out day to day operations of the project. Document all construction activities and evaluate progress of all projects.

Kemtek Development and Construction Limited, one of Jamaica’s largest real estate development companies in its on-going expansion invites suitable candidates to apply for the position of Construction Administrator.  The successful candidate will assist with all administrative aspects of the construction project from start to finish. They will be helping the Project Manager to ensure the project stays on track. The construction Administrator must have a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as assistant to project lead in carrying out day to day operations of the project.
  • Document all construction activities and evaluate progress of all projects and monitor all ad hoc requests and participate in various construction progress meetings and maintain records for all construction Procedure.
  • Ensure compliance with all the company’s safety requirements.
  • Assist Construction project managers to formula formulate weekly and monthly reports to be submitted to management.
  • Minutes taking, action planning, budgeting as well as scheduling and communicating project updates
  • Assist payroll department with data entry and reporting.
  • Review and enter data from timesheets.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred. Continuing education in construction highly desirable.
  • 3 years of experience in construction services, administration support, contract administration, or construction projects management is crucial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and project or construction management software.
  • Excellent organization, time management, attention to detail, and communication skills.
  • An understanding of the construction industry and process is beneficial.
