THIS POSITION IS OPEN ONLY TO NATIONALS OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO AND THOSE HOLDING VALID AUTHORIZATION TO WORK IN THE COUNTRY AND LIVING IN THE COUNTRY AT THE PRESENT TIME. 

 

Our client located in the Port of Spain , is seeking a TEMPORARY NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR FOR A 6 MONTH CONTRACT

 

SALARY: $13,000.00 TO $17,000.00 

HOURS OF WORK:  Mondays to Fridays - 8am to 4:30pm MUST BE WILLING TO WORK OUTSIDE WORKING HOURS TO MEET DEADLINES 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Fully support, configure, maintain, and upgrade corporate customer’s internal networks
  • Install, configure, and integrate new system hardware and third-party applications
  • Support the Telecommunication and WAN Communication infrastructure
  • Understand principles of Network security and ensure its adherence within the corporate environment
  • Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency)
  • Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords
  • Resolve IT related issues reported by end users
  • Manage, track the IT assets within the corporate network
  • Research and make recommendations to improve system administration

 

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

 

  1. Bachelor of Science in IT/Computer Science
  2. Three (3) years proven experience in a network administrator role
  3. Experience with network routing and switching will be an asset
  4. Knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
  5. Experience with local area network and wide area network administration

 

SKILLS & ABILITIES

 

1.     Strong understanding of computer network infrastructure

2.    Ability to implement, administer and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices

3.    Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols

4.    Ability to quickly learn technologies and products using documentation and internet resources

5.    Good analytical and problem-solving skills 

2.     Must provide careful attention to detail and accuracy

3.     Must be sensitive to time deadlines and ensure that work is accomplished in the timeframe required

4.      Must be able to prioritize tasks and perform work efficiently

5.      Must possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others

6.      Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

 

  1. Working with stringent deadlines on a monthly basis
  2. Working outside of normal working hours to meet deadlines.
