The Investment Analyst will operate within the Wealth Management Department and their core responsibility is to conduct research and analyze data.
Job Summary:
The Investment Analyst will participate in our sound portfolio-management strategy by providing the necessary data for our decision-making process. The core responsibility of the Investment Analyst is to conduct research and analyze data. They will assess the performance of stocks, bonds, and commodities, analyze financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements) to make informed recommendations regarding investment decisions. The Investment Analyst must have the ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment.
Job Description:
Conduct comprehensive analysis of equity, private equity, private credit, fixed income and alternative investments.
Develop and maintain financial models to forecast earnings, valuations, and performance metrics
Perform in-depth industry and sector research to identify trends and assess competitive dynamics.
Become an expert in two specific sectors, providing detailed and insightful analysis.
Cover a designated sovereign region evaluating economic and political factors impacting investments.
Prepare detailed research reports and provide buy/sell/hold recommendations.
Present investment ideas and research findings to portfolio managers and investment committees.
Collaborate with other analysts and team members to support overall research and investment strategies.
Monitor macroeconomic and market trends to inform investment decision.
Compliance & Audit:
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in all research activities.
Stay updated on new financial regulations, market developments, and investment trends.
HSE Management:
Co-operates and supports the company’s HSE initiatives.
Adheres to employee’s duties in accordance with OSH Act.
Adheres to all HSE policies and procedures.
Handle ad hoc request and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Education and Experience Requirements:
BSc. Finance/Economics or professional qualification in Accounting or other related disciplines or pursuing the CFA designation.
Minimum two (2) years working experience in a similar position.
Proven experience as an Investment Analyst, with strong track record of above benchmark performance.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite i.e. Word, Excel, Access
Expertise in evaluating equity and fixed income.
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
Exceptional analytic skills and proficiency in financial modeling.
Strong understanding of macroeconomic and market trends.
Solid understanding of financial set-up, procedures, statistics and economics.
