Inventory control & Storeroom Management

The Role

The general purpose of this position is responsible for monitoring all inventory related activities – from checking variances from the supplier to monitoring inventory distribution between stores, performing perpetual and leading quarterly stock counts, analyzing the reasons for discrepancies, report findings to the Financial Controller and ensure that the physical inventory and the inventory in the system are aligned and supervise the inventory team

What You'll Be Doing

  • Performing regular stock counts (quarterly) to ensure that entries in the data base match physical count
  • Monitor inventory movements between stores (KIN/MDV/OCR/MBJ and ensure that physical movement matches paperwork
  • Analyzing and preparing variance reports and work with the Systems Administrator to ensure that the on-hand inventory and systems figures are crossed examined and corrected
  • Auditing incoming inventory and ensure that paperwork presented and physical inventory correspond.
  • Examine all kind of inventory variations and report findings
  • Other inventory related duties to including internal audit of the inventory allocation at the warehouse
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, build trust, influence and facilitate new operational practices
  • Provide supervision for the inventory team

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent Communication Skills both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintain high standards and discipline
  • High level of professionalism
  • Adaptability and flexibility including ability to manage deadline pressures, ambiguity and change
  • Gains respect and trust from a broad range of people

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies, Logistics & Supply Chain Management or related discipline
  • Certificate in Inventory and Supplies Management
  • Knowledge of ACCPAC or Accounting Software
  • 2-3 years’ experience in inventory control or storeroom management
