Internal Auditor

The Internal Auditor shall oversee the entire internal audit function including reviewing and assessing VMCOTT’s processes, controls, procedures and practices

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Identifies and recommends opportunities for improving governance, management of risk and control systems, corporate performance, image and integrity and communicate same to the appropriate level of management.
2. Monitors the effectiveness of action taken by management to implement recommendations and to correct discrepancies or deficiencies reported by Internal Audit, Regulations and External Auditor(s).   Initiate appropriate follow-up action to persuade/influence management to adopt desired course of action; and assist management in designing plans for implementing the recommendations.
3. Manages the audit cycle, determine the adequacy of direction and scope of proposed audits; interprets audit procedures, techniques, and analytical methods to be utilized.
4. Provides on an annual basis an assessment on the adequacy and effectiveness of the Company’s processes for controlling its activities and managing its risks.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. A Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

and/or

1. Recognized professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CGA, or CPA)
2. Auditing qualifications (CIA, CFE, CISA)
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software
4. A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Internal Audits.
