About the Role: 

As the Inbound Receival Clerk, you will be responsible for receiving and coordinating all goods entering the Factory and Fulfillment Centre (FFC) to ensure compliance to quality and inventory management standards. The jobholder also has direct oversight in ensuring that all inbound discrepancies are resolved with the highest level of urgency and accuracy and the meeting of all inbound KPIs on daily basis. Some key outcomes are: 

  • Execute the receiving of inbound chilled, frozen, and produce items.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and Island Grill's specific requirements.
  • Update inventory databases and track inbound receipts.
  • Report discrepancies to management and coordinate with internal teams.
  • Assist with investigations of inventory variances.
  • Complete and communicate the Outstanding PO report.
  • Ensure proper labeling of pallets and crates.
  • Ensure produce received from farmers are compliant to Island Grill’s quality standards.
  • Update all requisite Inventory Databases (trackers) with information for all inbound receipts. 

Our Ideal Candidate:

To be successful in this role, the below skillset will be critical.

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately record and verify incoming goods, ensuring all items match purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Organizational Skills: Capable of managing inventory effectively, keeping track of stock levels, and maintaining organized records.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency with spreadsheets, and other relevant computer programs.
  • Knowledge of Warehousing Procedures: Familiarity with receiving protocols, quality checks, and safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly with suppliers, team members, and other departments regarding discrepancies, shortages, or issues.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Aptitude for identifying and resolving issues related to the receiving process quickly and efficiently.
  • Reliability and Punctuality: Dependable in terms of attendance and adhering to schedules, as timely receiving is crucial for inventory management.

Qualifications:

  • ASc. in Warehousing or Operations Management or equivalent
  • A minimum of 1-year experience in Warehouse Operations.
  • GMP / ISO / HACCP exposure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Training in Food Safety, GMP, HACCP and ISO Standards
