IT Support Officer

The chosen applicant will be in charge of installing, configuring, and maintaining networks, computer hardware, and software. Diagnose and fix hardware and software problems on PCs, laptops, printers, and servers.

JOB SUMMARY

The chosen applicant will be in charge of installing, configuring, and maintaining networks, computer hardware, and software. Diagnose and fix hardware and software problems on PCs, laptops, printers, and servers. Provide users with technical assistance, including troubleshooting and fixing IT-related issues.

REQUIREMENTS:       

• Install, configure, and update software applications as needed
• Hands on experience with desktop operating systems including Windows XP, Linux, and Microsoft Suite Applications
• Experience in providing application support with the ability to troubleshoot common IT issues
• Responsible for managing maintaining and installing POS systems
• Implement and monitor security measures to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with regulations
• Provide helpdesk support to staff, resolving hardware and software issues promptly
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining high customer service standards and delivering within specific timelines
• Assist in IT projects and initiatives, including system upgrades and deployments
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets, procedures, and user guides.

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, related field or its equivalent
• Relevant technical experience in a similar role
• Certification as an IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA A+, CISCO and CITRIX)
• Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
• Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
• High aptitude for learning and the ability to quickly learn new skills
• Able to work flexibly and proactively within a small team
• In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
