Primary objective of the job:

 

The Transaction (Prepaid) Group Head is a senior role responsible for leading the end-to-end strategy for the Pre-Paid business across Digicel’s selected tier markets. This role focuses on driving growth and supporting the implementation of the commercial framework. The role emphasizes strategic prepaid pricing, product portfolio management including simplification, activation strategies to grow the customer base, top up value optimization, customer experience, channel optimization, profitability, and customer lifetime value management of the core base to ensure sustained growth.

A critical aspect of the role is aligning corporate strategy with in-market teams, ensuring optimal pricing models, and leading initiatives to drive increased service revenue, efficiencies, and expand the customer base. As being part of a lean organization, self-supporting skills are a must.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Alignment:

  • Portfolio Management: Ensure portfolio perimeter, pricing strategy, and value proposition for Pre-Paid services
  • Revenue Growth: Develop and drive strategic initiatives focused on increasing service revenue and growing the customer core base
  • Commercial Execution: Provide input and guidance from product, experience, marketing and pricing design, working closely with the Group Go-to-Market Director and in-market teams on go-to-market strategies and commercial execution

Implementation and Execution:

  • Market Alignment: Ensure product, services, and commercial guidance alignment with in-market teams. Test new initiatives and its impact, to define if escalation is needed. Identify opportunities through regional benchmarking
  • Pricing & CLVM: Manage precise pricing strategies, product simplification, and customer lifetime value (Core Base) optimization to ensure sustainable growth
  • Performance Framework: Implement a robust performance-based commercial framework that tracks and adjusts based on short and mid-term performance metrics. Track key metrics and identify drivers to boost growth

Leadership:

  • Strategic Guidance: Align strategic guidance for Pre-Paid services across tier markets, ensuring a collaborative approach
  • Influence: Gain trust of in-market teams to work together in partnership. Communicate with the critical stakeholders to align strategy at all levels
  • Resource Allocation: Collaborate with in-market teams to deploy local business strategies that drive value for shareholders
  • Cost Efficiency: Instill a low-cost, efficiency-driven mindset to improve commercial productivity and operational efficiency while enhancing EBITDA and cash flow
  • Talent Management: Attract, retain, and develop top talent, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture across central and tier market operations teams

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

 

  • Over 10 years of leadership experience in core areas of telecommunications, revenue management or commercial roles managing business units, commercial teams or revenue management departments. Responsible for Revenues of more than USD 100 million per year and span control of more than 6 people
  • Prepaid experience is highly valuable and needed
  • Proven track record of leading teams in large-scale organizations, international experience is highly appreciated
  • Strong experience and specialized skills in pricing strategies, revenue optimization, forecasting, customer value management, and commercial framework implementation
  • Self-supporting skills and autonomy, decision making capabilities
  • Proven leadership skills of multidepartment projects
  • Undergrad in finance, economics, business, industrial engineering or related is a must
  • Master’s degree in economics, business administration, business intelligence, statistical modeling, optimization, marketing or related are highly valued
