The Head of Gaming Devices is responsible for leading technical audits of Electronic Gaming Devices (EGDs).

Summary

The Head of Gaming Devices is responsible for leading technical audits of Electronic Gaming Devices (EGDs) and related equipment used by Licensees to provide assurances of their compliance with established legislation, regulations, codes of conduct, processes, and procedures in the fulfilment of the Commission’s statutory mandate.

 

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Develops and maintains the risk-based Regulatory Compliance examination plan for licensees and registrants including monitoring mechanisms and metrics.
  • Leads the team in the approved approach and processes in conducting inspections of licensees’ technical operations.
  • Performs in-depth analysis and testing of gambling devices and associated equipment to ensure proper functionality, interoperability and compliance with technical regulations.
  • Provide expert advice to Management and Board on technical audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Investigates patron’s complaints/disputes and liaises with the Enforcement Department on matters relating to suspected criminal activity.
