As Head Housekeeper, you'll oversee the housekeeping department at Trade Winds Hotel, ensuring rooms and common areas meet our high standards of cleanliness and detail. You'll lead the team, manage daily operations, and maintain the pristine quality and presentation that defines Trade Winds Hotel.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Housekeeper to join our team and ensure that our guests experience the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team, including room cleaning, laundry, and public area maintenance.
  • Assist in creating annual budgets for your department. Responsible for maintaining cost within or below budget.
  • Ensure that all guest rooms and public areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation.
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms and common areas to ensure compliance with hotel standards and address any issues promptly.
  • Develop and implement housekeeping procedures and policies to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment ensuring proper usage.
  • Provide training and support to housekeeping staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
  • Address guest requests and concerns related to housekeeping promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operation and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 – 5 years’ experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor, Assistant Housekeeper, or similar role in a hotel or resort environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and equipment.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining exceptional cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient using technology.
  • Prior experience in a boutique or luxury hotel setting preferred.
