HEAD CHEF (Kingston and Montego Bay)

Summary:      Seeking to hire a head chef to oversee kitchen operations, create new menus and recipes and establish                          health and safety standards.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan food menus and develop recipes while incorporating culinary trends, flavours and taste
  • Supervise tasks carried out by the food preparation team
  • Hire and train chefs and other kitchen staff
  • Manage inventory ensuring there is adequate food supplies/ingredients in stock
  • Ensure that health and safety protocols and standards are maintained
  • Taking responsibility for the health and safety of the food team

 

Requirements:

  • Diploma in culinary skills or NVQ Level 5 in Commercial Food Preparation
  • At least three years’ experience working as a head cook
  • Knowledge of culinary trends
  • A proven ability to create unique and delicious dishes
  • The ability to multitask and cope in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
