HR Generalist
Your role as an HR Generalist will be to undertake a wide range of HR tasks, with special emphasis on recruiting & selecting capable prospects for hire, onboarding said candidates, administering employee benefits and leaves, assisting with engagement activities, and assisting in crafting HR policies.
DUTIES:
- Assist in the talent acquisition and recruitment processes
- Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
- Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies
- Undertake tasks around performance management
- Administer compensation and benefit plans
- Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
- Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
- Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits, and organizing team-building activities
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations
- Any other duties as assigned.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Computers: Knowledge of the internet (tools & applications) and Windows (desktop), ability to navigate multiple applications.
- Typing/Keyboard Skills: 25wpm with 100% accuracy.
- Good Verbal and Written Communication Skill: Ability to speak English clearly and type grammatically correct sentences, articulate thought processes effectively, listen intently and comprehends accurately, and has a smooth flow of speech. Should be able to enunciate and pronounce words clearly.
- Exceptional customer service skills: patient, good listener, polite, courteous, attentive, and genuine. Willingness to take responsibility: must have the ability to be the customer advocate internally and resolve issues affecting the customer's ability to receive the service expected. Need to understand internal systems, escalate issues to appropriate people and follow up until issue resolution.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least an Associate Degree/HEART Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration or a related field
- 2 years or more experience as HR Generalist (with emphasis on recruiting) or similar role preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, high-energy attitude
- Resourcefulness, creativity, and problem-solving skill set
- Familiarity with office equipment (i.e. printers, fax machines, projectors)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
