Job Overview
The Facilities Maintenance Leader will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of all equipment, facilities, assets, and vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. You will lead a team of maintenance technicians, coordinate maintenance activities, and collaborate with other departments to optimize performance.
Major Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Provide ongoing guidance, training and support to develop the skills and knowledge of your team.
- Set clear expectations, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor progress towards goals.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program for all facilities and equipment.
- Plan, prioritize, and assign maintenance tasks efficiently, ensuring timely completion and minimal disruption to daily operations.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities to identify and address potential problems proactively.
- Respond promptly to repair requests and resolve issues effectively.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for specialized maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelors' Degree in Engineering or a similar field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance supervisor or similar role, preferably in the hospitality or catering industry
- Strong knowledge of maintenance principles, practices and techniques, with expertise in equipment and facility maintenance
- Proficient in interpreting technical manuals, diagrams and schematics.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards relevant to the hospitality/catering industry.
