Engineer

Summary

At PBS Technologies (Trinidad) Limited, we are seeking to fill the position of an Engineer to work within our Advanced Services Department. The successful person will be required to provide excellent service to customer through the provision of software support and problem resolution on applications supported by the Department.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Pre-Sales team in the planning and design of customer’s technical environment
• Software development/customisation
• Report writing and SQL script development
• Maintain the SQL Database
• Document all installation procedures and execute the creation of training manuals
• Train the Technical Support Representatives
• Software Installation and support
• Resolve Security issues for the applications supported
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with the software
• Complete and maintain required certifications through exams

Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent combination of qualifications
• Experience in SQL Database maintenance would be an asset
• Experience in SQL script writing would be an asset
• Previous experience in a Software support role in a Service environment
• Analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Patient and courteous to customers
• Ardent learner and capable of learning new technologies quickly
• Excellence in oral and written communications
• Excellent time management skills
• Organizational skills
