To build and maintain long-term trusting relationships with our customers, oversee an assigned client portfolio, develop new business from existing clients, while actively seeking and identifying new sales opportunities.

A large Manufacturer in South Trinidad is seeking to hire an Export Sales Representatives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Ensures the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  2. Actively seeking out new sales opportunities both locally and internationally through cold calling, networking, social media etc.
  3. Setting up meetings wiith potential clients both locally and throughout the Caricom region.
  4. Forecasts and tracks key account metrics, e.g. monthly and annual sales results and forecasts
  5. Grows revenue in assigned territory and analyses prospective customers’ businesses for its potential and develops strategies for account penetration.
  6. Timely resolution of customer issues.
  7. Function as a Certified Business Professional to liaise with existing and new customers: mainly Hardwares and Contractors by way of support, sales, collections and delivery follow up.
  8. Monitor market fluctuations and produce weekly market reports.
  9. Working on the road to visit customer locations and project site locations.
  10. Visits our manufacturing facility/ factory to assist with coordinating resolution of all issues on behalf of customers
  11. Work in Office to process / enter orders onto company's software system.
  12. Reports to the Marketing Director on business activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A first degree in Marketing, Business Management, or any other related discipline.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of sales / account management experience in the Construction/Hardware Industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Demonstrated ability to manage customers.
  • Demonstrated competence in consultative selling.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in Steel and other related products for the Construction Industry
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Results-oriented and target-driven
  • A reliable working vehicle
  • Any suitable combination of Industry Experience and Qualifications would be considered.
