OVERVIEW:

KPMG Jamaica has a delivery center named "Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS)" operating from Kingston, which is contracted to provide office support to its member firm KPMG United States ("the Client"). 

JOB SUMMARY: 
The person in this role is responsible for crafting seamless data pipelines, integrating data from diverse sources, and implementing robust security and privacy measures. They will analyze, monitor, and fine-tune data streams, ensuring optimal storage, processing, and cost efficiency. 


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Delivery
•Administer Visier and Workiva COTS SaaS platforms owned and managed by the COTS Analytics team.
•Develop and deploy data analytics, visualizations, and reports to the user communities in accordance with business requirements. 
•Participate in ongoing data and analytics lifecycle management activities, leveraging agile methodologies. 
•Contribute to sprint planning/grooming and backlog prioritization sessions. 
•Develop and maintain documentation, FAQ's, QRG's, and provide training and support to end-users. 
•Participate in stakeholder meetings and provide subject matter expertise on the use of Visier, Workiva, and industry analytics best practices. 
•Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues or errors, working closely with the Visier and Workiva support teams as needed. 
•Stay up-to-date with the latest Visier and Workiva platform updates and enhancements, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and making recommendations to management. 
•Develop and maintain documentation, including user guides and standard operating procedures, to ensure consistent and efficient use of the platform. 
•Build strong relationships with peers and business users, serving as a change agent to improve processes, products, and services. 
•Communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with specialization in software engineering.
•Experience administering and/or developing in Visier or Workiva is a plus.
•A minimum 3 years experience in in data preparation, operational and management reporting, business intelligence, dashboarding, and ad hoc analytics.
•A minimum 2 years of recent experience with advanced analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, and/or Visier preferred.
•Prior experience in workforce analytics and knowledge of human resource terminology is a plus.
•Solid understanding of data modeling and data relationships concepts..
•Good understanding of data security and privacy best practices.
•Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting data flows.
•Solid verbal/written communication, problem-solving, analytical, and independent judgement  skills to support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork.
•Ability to work independently and work well within a team.
•Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to adhere to deadlines.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.


SPECIAL CONDITIONS
•Expected to work in a fast-paced team environment.
•Will be working primarily in a paperless environment and expected to be using information systems for the entire workday to access data or perform activities.
•May be required to work extended hours periodically or on public holidays.
