Reports to the Chief Operations Officer and oversees the development and delivery of meteorological and aeronautical services, aligning with the Authority's strategy, budgets, regulations, and agreements while advancing Bermuda's national meteorological service.
As the Director, Bermuda Weather Service (“BWS”), you will be reporting to the Chief Operations Officer. You will be accountable for the development and delivery of meteorological and aeronautical information products and services, in accordance with the Authority's strategic objectives; with due regard to agreed operational and capital expenditure budgets and financial instructions, as well as according to local and international regulations and agreements. The Director also ensures the continued development of BWS as the national meteorological and hydrological service for Bermuda following local and international regulations and, where applicable, recommendations.
The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Managing all operations within BWS, supporting the Deputy as needed. Ensuring the delivery of current products and services and the development of new products and services, in accordance with the Authority's strategic plan as well as local and international regulations and, when required, recommendations.
