OVERVIEW:

KPMG Jamaica has a delivery center named “Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS)” operating from Kingston, which is contracted to provide back-office support to its member firm KPMG United States (“the Client”).

Your key responsibilities will include crafting seamless data pipelines, seamlessly integrating data from diverse sources, and implementing robust security and privacy measures. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Delivery 

—Design and implement data pipelines and processing solutions using Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Databricks
—Create and maintain data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and loading.
—Implement data security and privacy measures, such as encryption and access controls.
—Monitor and troubleshoot data flows to ensure data quality and availability.
—Optimize data storage and processing for performance and cost efficiency.
—Collaborate with internal and cross functional teams, such as  offshore and onshore data engineers, Solution architects, Data analysts etc, to support the development of data-driven applications and services.
—Data preprocessing and cleansing: Apply advanced data preprocessing techniques to clean and transform raw data, ensuring high data quality for analysis.
—Feature engineering: Identify relevant features from complex pipelines and develop innovative feature engineering strategies to improve data ingestion performance.
—Collaborate on data visualization: Work with data visualization experts to create interactive dashboards and reports that effectively communicate key findings to stakeholders.
—Collaborate on innovation initiatives: Contribute to the development of new data-driven approaches, leveraging emerging technologies like AI and automation.
—Define and manage SLA’s for all data sets and processes running in production.

Stakeholder Relationship Management 

—Communicate effectively with Client to understand changes to Client’s departmental policies, processes, and procedures; and implement affected changes
—Create and present quarterly Service Performance of the team
—Resolve and provide updates on issues/ action items resulting from client feedback
—Analyze client satisfaction survey and resolve any issues mentioned
—Provide escalation reports for issues related to technology, administrative support, and other operational issues/ contingencies by engaging with the relevant teams/ US stakeholders
—Strategize with the Senior Manager and clients (where necessary) to identify and resolve any escalated issues by clients or team members
—Prepare and present the Client with regular reports as required

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

—A degree in software engineering or any equivalent computer science background 
—Experience with Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Azure DataBricks, DataLake,Pyspark,SQL, ELT Concepts and CI/CD understanding. 
—Nice to have knowledge in Power BI service and processing solutions.
—Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL (extract, transform, load) concepts.
—Experience / certification with programming languages such as Python and Pyspark
—Good understanding of data security and privacy best practices.
—Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting data flows.


SPECIAL CONDITIONS
—Expected to work in a fast-paced team environment
—Will be working primarily in a paperless environment and expected to be using information systems for the entire workday to access data or perform activities
—May be required to work extended hours periodically or on public holidays
