Decimal Cricket are looking for Graduates with a love of sport, Cricket in particular, who would like to become a Cricket Prediction Analyst. This role will be a work from home one.

The role will involve deep diving into Cricket stats, researching grounds, players and weather, in order to compile predictions of what we might expect to happen in a game of Cricket, as well as monitoring of ours and other predictions to ensure we remain competitive. You will be working as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will understand the various codes of Cricket well. They should be familiar with the major Cricket T20 leagues and the players who play in them. They will be able to communicate their ideas clearly, and be willing to listen to and consider the ideas of others. Mathematical education or experience is preferable but not mandatory.

The salary will be $20k USD per annum, as well as participation into the yearly bonus scheme.

 Pre-Match Trader Job Description

 

The role will involve the pricing of a range of matches, in all formats, from around the world.

  • Continual research of new competitions, teams, grounds and players ensuring up to date knowledge of rules and playing conditions, squad composition.

 

  • Accurate pricing based on researching the statistics available, up to date knowledge of players and form and regular observation of betting trends.

 

  • Using betting results to reflect on and adjust pricing whilst communicating with Live traders and other members of the pre-match team to ensure pricing is accurate and consistent.

 

  • Continual professional development through researching the stats, practising with the models and learning from colleagues about optimum pricing.

 

The role also requires checking pre-match prices. Below is a list of duties included in the role:

 

  • Work with the Pre-Match Manager to prioritise any new work and make yourself aware of any new practises and markets to be offered.

 

  • Regular communication with other members of the team, sharing news and information relating to all matches.

 

  • High quality price checking, ensuring all markets are accurately priced and ensuring that we react quickly to any news or bets that impact our pricing.

 

  • Work with the Product Support team to ensure they are aware or information that will help with price checking when no member of the pre-match team is present.

 

  • Contributing to their Team by sharing research, updating various logs, checking statistics. Learn about any new functionality or markets and communicate your understanding and insights to others.

 

  • Monitoring the quality of our product and results on all our customers’ platforms, providing feedback to our customers about their products and how they can optimise the data, including client profiling feedback.
