VENTURE is seeking to hire a Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO, as delegated by the Board of Directors, is responsible for management and operations of the Credit Union and is accountable for the appropriate use and safeguard of all assets and resources.

The Company is a leading Financial Services Provider, committed to Good Governance, and improvement in the Economic and Social well-being of its Members. It operates out of three branch offices and is governed by a  Board of Directors and is led by the Chief Executive Officer .

The Position

THe Company is seeking to hire a Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO, as delegated by the Board of Directors, is responsible for management and operations and is accountable for the appropriate use and safeguard of all assets and resources.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  1. In collaboration with the Board of Directors, determine the strategic direction of the Company.
  2. Oversee the implementation of the strategic plan through an integrated framework of operational plans.
  3. Ensure a strong Risk, Compliance and Governance Framework is embedded across the organisation.
  4. Establish and maintain safety and soundness of the Company.
  5. Ensure that members are consistently served effectively and efficiently
  6. Ensure that collection and recovery efforts of delinquent accounts are effective
  7. Act as Treasurer and report on the financial status on a regular basis as required by the bye laws.
  8. Oversee a marketing programme that will identify the Members’ needs and promote the products and services of the Company to effectively fulfil those needs.
  9. Allocate physical, human and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs, and establish financial and administrative controls
  10. Approve overall human resources planning and deployment.
  11. Represent the organization or designate representatives to do so, and act on behalf of the organization in negotiations or other official functions/capacities.
  12. Network to establish the business and brand.

 

Education and Experience

  • A Masters in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, General Management or any related field and / or a Chartered Accountant designation
  • At least ten years work experience preferably in the Financial Sector
  • A proven track record of growth, strategy development and change management will be highly valued.
