VACANCY – COMMERCIAL SERVICES MANAGER (GMG/SEG 1)

Salary Range ($ 3,501,526.00 to $ 4,709,163.00 per annum)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Commercial Services Manager on a contractual basis in the Manchester Municipal Corporation.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Commercial Services Manager has the responsibility of managing all operational functions of commercial services. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring profitability of the Commercial Operations within the Corporation which include Markets, Transportation Centers, Car Parks and Lease and Rental of Properties.       

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plans, directs and co-ordinates all programmes and activities relating to the operations of the commercial services of the Corporation in accordance with the policies and regulations prescribed by the Corporation
• Examines and analyzes rates, rental fees, operating costs and revenues to determine needs such as increases to rentals, reduction in operation and maintenance costs for all commercial entities operated by the Corporation
• Identifies, develops and prepares for management evaluation, recommendations aimed at increasing efficiency and revenues and lowering costs
• Ensures that all staff employed to the unit are complying with the organization’s policies, standards and procedures as it relates to such functions as safe-keeping of funds
• Reviews operational records to ascertain conformity with expected revenue and operational standards

REQUIRED Qualifications AND EXPERIENCE:

• BSc. In Management Studies/ Business Administration/ Public Management
• Five (5) years progressive work experience two (2) of which should be at a managerial level in private or public sector
• Training in Leadership and Change management would be an asset
