The Business Development Officer is responsible for increasing the organization’s sales through marketing and research. The role holder identifies new business opportunities and makes recommendations about how the organization can operate more effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Produce monthly reports on the performance of products and attainment of targets to improve organizational efficiency.
  2. Perform market research to improve product and service offerings, making recommendations where necessary.
  3. Analyze marketing or promotion processes to identify gaps and provide recommendations for implementation to various departments.
  4. Monitor competitor activity and keep abreast of market trends.
  5. Ensure that all digital media platforms, including website and social media are updated.
  6. Monitor the social media pages in terms of the level of engagement, postings and analytics.
  7. Implementing and executing new marketing strategies.
  8. Monitor the implementation of newly launched products.
  9. Oversee the production of marketing materials.
  10. Plan and execute public awareness and marketing/sponsorship activities.
  11. Serve as point of contact for sponsorship requests.
  12. Represent the Credit Union at various functions and activities to enhance the Credit Union’s image.
  13. Recommend First Federal’s financial products and services to members and prospects to meet personal and business needs.
  14. Evaluate sales performance and identify creative strategies to achieve set targets.
  15. Work closely with department heads to identify and develop new marketing or promotional strategies.
  16. Prepare and submit budget assumptions for marketing and promotional items.
  17. Lead on the end-to-end campaign process.
  18. Lead all promotional activities.
  19. Ensure brand compliance.
  20. Assist with special projects as required.
  21. Any other duties assigned.
