The Brand Manager will be responsible for fostering, maintaining, and successfully managing customer and supplier relationships for assigned portfolios. Development of strategic marketing plans for managed brands and successful recovery and stabilization of at-risk brands.

BRAND MANAGER
Primary Function:
 
  • To plan, develop, implement and monitor marketing plans and budgets to ensure achievement of budgeted sales and gross profits for assigned brands.
  • Fully develop tactical marketing initiatives that are aligned with the marketing plan and move them through to successful execution.                                                                                                                                             
  • Conceptualize, create and execute innovative strategies to exploit distribution and sales opportunities.
  •  Develop marketing programmes with customers to increase traffic and impulse sales.
  •  A&P Budgets are to be established in collaboration with suppliers and included in each Annual Corporate Plan. ROI to be conducted on each proposal and after each execution.
  •  Identify and startup customers with Food Service applications either behind door or front of house cabinets.
  •  Work with Channel Sales Team to develop annual sales and GP budgets for brand portfolio.
  •  Maintain strong and positive supplier relationships.
  •  Attend monthly meetings with Business Unit Heads to review brand portfolios.
  •  Prepare monthly brand reports for submission to management.
  •  Compile and prepare supplier A&P Debit notes in a timely and accurate manner and ensure that they are paid in full and that all issues are settled.
  •  Visit the trade on a regular basis to determine the level and quality of distribution, merchandising, and to identify opportunities.
  •  Work closely with the Channel Sales Supervisors to develop programs to capitalize on trade opportunities and strengthen trade relationships.
  •  Work with Merchandising Supervisors to ensure that all plans are executed according to supplier brand guidelines.
  •  Undertake market research and analysis, and monitor competitive activity.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing or Management
  • At least three (3) years' experience in a Marketing field; distribution experience would be an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong execution skills
  • Computer literate – Word, Excel and Power Point are a necessity
