The Brand Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing direct marketing strategies, sales and distribution plans for assigned products to generate consumer interest and contribute to the achievement of sales targets.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Brand Co-ordinator is responsible for developing and executing direct marketing strategies, sales and distribution plans for assigned products to generate consumer interest and contribute to the achievement of sales targets. The incumbent will also be responsible for establishing, maintaining and expanding relationships with Customers and Suppliers/Principals and for creating new and innovative branding opportunities. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Brand Coordination Function:

  • Works closely with relevant personnel, including the Key Account Manager and key members of the supply chain process, to minimize stock-outs by reviewing sales, planned activities and launches.
  • Reviews and analyses sales information on a regular basis and provides recommendations on plans as necessary by Account or by Brand.
  • Organizes and manages the distribution of trade samples for new products to Key Accounts.
  • Participates in Sales meetings as required.
  • Works with the relevant personnel such as the Key Account Manager to create and implement Trade plans.
  • Ensures necessary credits for promotions are processed and assists in monitoring trade marketing activities to ensure that expenditure is within specified budgets. 

Management of Supplier and Trade Relationships:

  • Provides assistance to Principals in product launches when requested.
  • Conducts trade visits as required to gain an understanding of the trade and customers so as to introduce relevant promotions and monitor their effectiveness. 

Liaising with Promoting/Merchandising Team:

  • Works with the Key Account Manager to ensure that promotional activities are implemented as and when planned, with the aim of ensuring their effectiveness.
  • Provides information to the team of Promoters on brand and promotional details to ensure effectiveness of implemented promotions.
  • Ensures brand planograms are passed on to the Merchandiser Coordinator and that these are being adhered to by conducting trade visits. 

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Marketing, Business Management/Administration or a related discipline. 

Experience:

  • At least three (3) years driving experience without any driver fault accidents.
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in a Trade based role. 

Other Certification:

  • Must hold a valid Trinidad and Tobago Class 3 Driver’s Permit. 

Additional Requirements:

  • Availability and willingness to travel throughout Trinidad and Tobago
  • Must own a reliable vehicle.
