Job Title: Boat Captain

Duties and responsibilities

• To maintain an excellent standard of customer service

• Informing and advising guests about the itinerary for each tour.
• Assists guests while snorkeling, fishing and island hopping.
• Responsible for safe operation of the boat
• Ensure that passengers are properly briefed prior to the vessel departing from the port.
• Inspect boat to ensure efficient and safe operation including equipment and conformance to regulations.
  • Ensure mate gathers and maintains the requisite equipment/s for each tour.
  • Supervise and assist mate to ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of vessel.
  • Performs routine shipboard maintenance as required.
  • Alter navigation plans based on weather conditions to keep vessel and passengers safe.

    Qualification/requirements:

• At least five (5) years’ experience as a boat tour captain
• Boat captain license
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• A positive, supportive team player with a can-do attitude
• Willing and eager to interact positively with a range of age groups, from small children to seniors
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and accept new ideas
