Attorney-at-Law

The Law Offices of a prominent Senior Counsel is seeking to hire a young professional with an interest in deepening his/her experience in Corporate/Commercial Law, particularly Revenue and Tax Law.

JOB SUMMARY 

This position requires a serious and conscientious young professional with a passion for learning, hard work and career development. Interested persons should be committed to increasing their knowledge and assisting in increasingly complex matters in Corporate/Commercial Law. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

• Perform online search and retrieval, of legal, business and investigative research relevant to corporate/commercial matters.
• Draft legal documents (such as contracts, term sheets, memoranda, affidavits, pleadings, legal opinions and other legal correspondence) related to corporate/commercial transactions and litigation.
• Undertake legal due diligence for corporate/commercial transaction matters and pre-trial discovery for corporate/commercial litigation matters.
• Interpret laws, judgments and regulations to provide up-to-date and accurate legal advice and appropriate legal solutions.
• Document client interviews and meetings with counsel. 
• Assist partners in all aspects of corporate/commercial transactions. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• A Bachelor’s degree in Law
• Graduate of Caribbean Law School with a minimum of three (3) years of working experience (preferably from a firm)
• Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in Corporate/Commercial Law
• Must have studied Corporate and Commercial Law subjects;
• Ability to undertake serious research in areas of Corporate/Commercial Law
