Job Description:

Our client is looking for an experienced Attorney specializing in Corporate and Civil Law to join their esteemed law firm. The successful candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional legal advice, demonstrating a detailed understanding of corporate and civil law matters, as well as experience in civil litigation.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide sound legal advice to corporate clients on a variety of legal issues including corporate governance,  regulatory compliance, contracts, and civil disputes.
  • Represent our clients effectively in court, demonstrating a strong ability for litigation.
  • Draft and review corporate legal documents such as contracts, deeds, leases, and corporate agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis, and produce clear, concise legal reports.
  • Handle civil litigation cases efficiently and work towards positive outcomes for our clients.
  • Build relationships with clients and maintain a customer-focused approach that ensures client satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Remain up-to-date with the latest changes in corporate and civil law, court rulings, and other legal practices.

Qualifications:

  • LL.B degree from an accredited law school and admission to the Bar in Trinidad and Tobago.
  • Proven experience as a corporate and civil lawyer, with a minimum 5 years experience in court litigation.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to think creatively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A keen eye for detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong professional ethics and a commitment to confidentiality.
