The Assurance Associate I is primarily responsible for performing assurance procedures on engagements.
The Assurance Associate I is primarily responsible for performing assurance procedures on engagements. Procedures may range from a single step in the audit program to a complete section of the financial statements, of an entity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Attends and participates in risk assessment and planning meetings.
• Assists in the preparation of planning & risk assessment documents.
• Prepares appropriate documentation to support work done.
• Identify and promptly communicate issues to ICA.
• Provide explanations and on-the-job training for less experienced staff.
• Supervises the work of Assurance Trainees on the audit team
• Understand all relevant GT methodologies, tools of accounting and auditing standards
• Any other work assigned by the ICA / Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Studying/Completed ACCA
• 1-2 Years progressive accounting experience in-charge of auditing.
• Strong technical accounting skills with proficiency in IFRS and ISA's.
• Ability to supervise staff and lead projects.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.
• Strong leadership, recruiting, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
