The Assistant Farm Manager is responsible for supporting the management of all the activities of the agricultural farm assigned. The incumbent is also required to plan, supervise and participate in the planting, fertilization, and harvesting process.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage the planting, cultivation, maintenance and harvesting of crops.
  • Provide support in sugar cane and coconut production activities.
  • Assist in the implementation and execution of all projects on the farms.
  • Assist in the management of all farm personnel.
  • Review payroll documents and maintain up-to-date and accurate records.
  • Monitor agricultural practices and ensure that they are compliant with government regulations and health and safety standards and Global GAP Standards.
  • Submit monthly progress reports on agricultural activities on the farms in a timely manner.
  • Organize maintenance/repair of farm property, equipment, and machinery.
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the Citrus Replanting programme.
  • Any other related duties assigned.

Education/Training & Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or in a relevant discipline 
  • Five (5) years of work experience in a related field
  • Sound knowledge of farm operations and agricultural processes
  • Experience in Citrus Huanglongbing (HLB)/Citrus Greening Management
  • Cultivation of crops on large commercial farms
  • Certification in Project Management and Supervisory Management would be an asset
