The Architectural Sales Representative is a field sales representative responsible for driving sales and supporting projects of varying sizes for construction professionals.
Job Description
Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to the needs of construction professionals to achieve targeted sales volumes.
Client Management: Manage and nurture relationships with construction professionals, including contractors, architects, interior designers and project managers, to maximize sales opportunities and support project success.
Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support on product selection, application techniques, and best practices to ensure successful project outcomes.
Site Visits: Set weekly route plan & conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, address any issues, and provide on-site support as needed. Report on progress of customer visits weekly.
Customer Engagement: Enhance customer engagement by organising & delivering value-added solutions, such as product demonstrations, training sessions, and project consultations.
Complaint Resolution: Address and resolve customer complaints promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Customer Feedback: Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in products and services.
Market Intelligence: Stay informed about market pricing, market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new sales opportunities and stay competitive.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management or Marketing
At least five (5) years’ sales and/or marketing experience
At least ten (10) years proven experience in field sales, preferably in the coatings, construction, or related industry.
Strong technical knowledge of architectural coatings and their applications.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
