The incumbent will be responsible for providing administrative support for the Department in relation to customer contracts and loan documentation and administration.

 

Stewart Finance Jamaica Limited (Stewart Finance) is an in-house financing company for vehicles and industrial equipment sold by The Stewart’s Automotive Group. 

Stewart Finance is seeking to recruit a dynamic and results oriented individual to fill the position of:

ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER (LOANS)

SOME OF THE KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE ROLE:

  • To greet customers entering the Department with a smile and direct them to the necessary personnel.
  • To perform Cashering duties.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls in a prompt, polite, and professional manner.
  • Maintain client contact to ensure that all Insurance, Registration and Fitness documents are up to date.
  • Maintain client contact to ensure that service call reminders are done.
  • Prepare timely discharge of Notices of Liens and NSSIPP.
  • Manage inventory to include checking off repossessed vehicles and ensure that all necessary documents are renewed, providing copies of documents to the auto dealerships, requesting valuation reports, and maintaining a list of all the vehicles to be sold.
  • Assist with maintaining copies of up to date Certificates of Registration and Fitness to aid in the timely disbursement of loan drawdown requests.
  • Prepare Letters of Undertaking, Notices of Lien and Finance Quotes for In-house deals.
  • Assist in the preparation of Contracts, Bills of Sale and keep an organized file for all inhouse deals.
  • Maintain knowledge of basic finance information in order to act as a resource for incoming calls.
  • Respond to general queries and provide quotations to existing and potential customers.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Banking and Finance or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years’ work experience in a similar capacity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer-centric skills.
  • Must be highly organized and can take initiative, when required.
  • Excellent time management skills.
