The Accountant is responsible for all financial and management accounting activities inclusive of preparing financial and performance reports, preparing payroll, accounts receivable and payables, procurement, tax returns and coordinating the completion of external audit.

JOB SUMMARY       

The Accountant is responsible for all financial and management accounting activities inclusive of preparing financial and performance reports, preparing payroll, accounts receivable and payables, procurement, tax returns and coordinating the completion of external audit.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
• File Payroll taxes, GCT, Income Tax and other tax returns in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate and up to date records of all financial transactions
• Record, classify and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with accepted accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Conduct research, compile and present reports as required
• Report to management any abnormality in transaction
• Advise on the improvement of financial management system, internal controls/processes to improve business efficiency
• Coordinate with external auditors to execute annual auditing functions
• Supervision the day-to-day operation of the accounting staff and process
• Assist in establishing and maintaining financial policies and procedures for the company
• Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
• Timely and Accurate Financial Reporting - reports include Income Statements, Balance sheets, Cashflows, and Forecasts.
• Manage The Accounting Cycle to include reporting deadlines for each of the major activities along the critic path to ensure an effective monthly accounting cycle.
• Manage Compliance with Company Policies and Procedures
• Oversee the training and development of the Finance team
